Whats New?

Best of 2016

Another great year begins with honors for the lesson studio in Sudbury.  Based on my client reviews, Thumbtack has awarded me the "Best of 2016".  Its the second year in a row I have been included in this list.  Its a great honor and privilege.  I look forward to another great year.  Thank You!

Former Student Auditioning at New England Conservatory

Its an amazing day for me as a teacher.  One of my former students, that I had taught for years in Framingham, is auditioning today for acceptance in the classical percussion department.  The competition for these placements is incredibly high.  I wish him the best of luck.  I can't believe the little 8 year old that came through my door so many years ago is now performing with some the world's very best.

Honors for the New Lesson Studio in Sudbury MA

I was recently honored as a Best of 2015 winner on Thumbtack.com for my excellent service reviews over the last year at my studio in Sudbury.  Thank You very much to all that have taken the time to review my teaching abilities, and your experiences here.  I look forward to many more years of great lessons with all of you!

Studio is up and running

I recently built a studio in my home in Sudbury.  Its been a dream of mine for quite a while, to have a place of my own to teach, record, and jam.  Big thanks to RJ Development for the work they did on the room to soundproof and renovate.  Time to get started!

A Couple new videos

JQ Trio recently did a few videos for Ben Melvin's audition process for post grad schools.  Take a listen!  He's killin' on these tracks.

JQ Trio Releases Videos of New Material

I recently went into the studio to record some great new material by guitarist Jeremy Quick.  We had a blast laying down the tracks and as you'll see, I think they came out great.  Frank Ojeda was phenomenal on bass, and kept us all laughing.  Its great to have people who keep it loose and fun while getting some serious work done.  Awesome job all around!

I recently picked up a drum kit at a garage sale hoping the kids would take an interest. No such luck! I decided not to let it go to waste and started lessons with Justin Oliver. I could not be happier. My goal is to have fun learning something new and challenging...so far so good. Justin keeps things engaging and interesting and has an easy going positive nature. His love for the drums is infectious and he encourages you to expand your musical knowledge as well. He is a fantastic teacher!

Student Spotlight

Emilia has been playing for a little over a year now.  In this video, she's rockin' Muse's Map of the Problematique.  Not an easy song at all.  But like pretty much everything I've given her, she nails it in no time.  Its always great to have a student like that... and great to have a girl rockin' on drums!
